The 13th biennial conference of the Podiatry Association of SA was held in Johannesburg over the weekend of 12 September 2025.

After almost 5 years of development of the FreeStride™ technology system and the building of the Airstep shoe, there was great excitement amongst the Airstep team.

Finally, the shoe was ready to launch to market. The congress, themed, “I am a podiatrist”, was the perfect platform to launch the brand and its signature shoe. To say that the positive response from the healthcare professional delegates towards this innovative shoe was overwhelming, is an understatement. All agreed that this unique shoe would find its welcomed place in the market and make a tangible difference in the lives of the many people who need footwear that gets them moving.

International experts in attendance were suitably impressed and encouraged Airstep in its quest. That such a large body of seasoned healthcare professionals should so readily recognise the attributes of Airstep, built on FreeStride™ technology, is most encouraging.
